We have all kinds of small appliances that are either lying around unused… or that we depend on a great deal. Part of the blame is mine, as I used to love to buy ‘any and every’ baking or cooking gadget that I could find. My husband also likes to get his hands on new and interesting gadgets as I’ve described here before. The result is that we have a kitchen and a garage full of various small appliances.
My husband used to rib me for buying so many different kitchen gadgets too. Ironic, considering he was just as passionate about his different tools and gadgets. For example, while I might be buying a cake and pastry former, he would be ordering a gadget that pulls dandelions.
It came down the ridiculous before we realized that we were wasting a lot of money – and space – on things that we really didn’t need. However, there are still some home appliances that we couldn’t imagine living without.

But when you go through as much rice as we do, then you might begin to understand the necessity of this appliance.
When we were first starting out together, we used to have to get our home appliances from the local hardware store or sometimes even the TV. But of course, now, it’s easy to buy stuff online. There are surprising items that you wouldn’t even have discovered on your own just a few short years ago that you can easily get from places like this.
